Knoxville Detox and Rehab Facility

For many people who are battling an addiction to drugs or alcohol, the first stage of the recovery process involves undergoing medical detox to flush out chemical substances from your system. Detox should occur under medical supervision, at a professional treatment and rehab center. Detoxing can be extremely uncomfortable and potentially life-threatening due to withdrawal symptoms that are often experienced when substance use is discontinued, especially for those individuals who have developed a chemical dependency.

We accept in- and out-of-state patients and proudly support military veterans. Landmark Recovery does not discriminate on the basis or age, sex or gender.

The alcohol and drug addiction treatment program at Landmark Recovery of Knoxville will guide you through detox as comfortably and as safely as possible. Our compassionate clinical team will provide around-the-clock health care and administer medications that can help manage the cravings and negative effects of withdrawal.

All rehab clients are provided with personalized treatment plans that include a variety of science-backed treatment modalities for treating the body, mind, and spirit. Depending on your specific needs, your customized treatment program may include counseling, behavioral therapy, medication-assisted treatment, meditation and mindfulness therapies, inpatient rehab, health and wellness education, nutrition therapy, fitness and exercise programs, and recreational activities.

Life Inside Landmark Recovery of Knoxville

Some might be wondering what the process of inpatient rehab admission and the rehab itself is like. Here’s how patients are usually admitted, evaluated, and treated.

Patients or their families will speak to an admissions specialist to ask questions or learn more about the admissions process. Once both parties come to a mutual understanding on all questions, patients will enter the treatment center. This is when patients begin the intake process. Basic information about the patient is gathered  and the patient is oriented on the rehab process and rules.

Medical staff at the residential treatment center will evaluate patients during the intake process to determine their condition and make medical recommendations based off their findings.  Doctors build a personal profile for the patient so they can track their treatment and progress throughout their time with us. Detox begins next, where we manage the withdrawals to prevent serious harm to patients as they begin the recovery journey.

Inpatient rehab patients are required to check themselves in, while outpatient rehab patients don’t have to. We require that, pending a doctor’s recommendation, all patients suffering from heavy addictions go through inpatient rehab. This is a firm recommendation we make to properly monitor the medical condition of those detoxing and participating in therapy and counseling. Inpatient rehab is required for those who can’t pass a drug test while participating in outpatient rehab.

After alcohol or drug detox is finished (usually 5-7 days), patients will then spend 30-45 days taking part in the residential program. While staying at the rehab center, multiple types of therapy will be provided along with recreational time to focus on the self. Once patients finish their residential treatment with us, we provide them with access to continued support through alumni programs and weekly therapy sessions at no cost.

Daily Inpatient Rehab Schedule

During inpatient rehab at Landmark Recovery of Knoxville, you’ll follow a schedule that includes intensive therapy, counseling, and classes to help you achieve sobriety. You’ll have some free time and three meals a day.

You’re Not Alone

Addiction in Tennessee is a growing problem. In fact, 458,950 Tennesseans, aged 18 years or older, fit the criteria to be diagnosed with substance use disorder. This statistic is especially true in a popular college town like Rocky Top.

  • 1 in 20 Tennessee residents suffer from alcohol addiction.
  • Tennessee is ranked #3 in the nation in rate of prescription opioid abuse.
  • In 2020, there were 3,032 deaths attributed to overdose in Tennessee.

Landmark Recovery of Knoxville is looking to change those statistics by providing local, patient-centric care to those who need addiction treatment. If you or someone you know needs addiction treatment, call 865-448-5174 to talk to a recovery specialist today

Cost of Addiction and Substance Abuse Care

Landmark Recovery of Knoxville is one of the most affordable drug and alcohol rehab centers in Tennessee. We strive to make addiction recovery affordable and attainable to anyone who needs it. The cost of medical detox and rehab varies from person to person. Treatment plans, medications, levels of care and insurance coverage all play a factor in determining how much addiction recovery could cost.

Some people delay addiction treatment because they believe it’s too expensive. But the costs associated with an untreated addiction far outweigh the cost of a recovery center. The cost of drugs and alcohol used by someone with an addiction typically surpasses the price of treatment for substance abuse. There are also emotional and physical costs, including health problems, broken relationships and poor self-image that often accompany an addiction. While detox and rehab are an investment, it’s one that pays off. Sobriety leads to a better life.

Affordability

If we’re going to treat people in this country who suffer from substance use disorders, then one of our goals should be to make addiction treatment as affordable as possible. Cars and houses are wildly expensive, but getting the right addiction treatment is priceless. No matter what the cost is, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to make affordable treatment available for those who need it. We’re also extremely proud to accept Medicaid treatment through our Praxis locations across the Midwest and beyond.

Addiction Recovery and Treatment in Tennessee

Addiction is a complex but treatable disease. Landmark Recovery of Knoxville can help you overcome drug and alcohol addiction using medical detox and evidence-based treatment plans.

Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol is the most abused substance in Tennessee. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, heavy drinking increased dramatically in the state. In 2020, 15.6% of adults in Tennessee reported binge drinking and there were 7,272 car crashes involving drivers under the influence of alcohol – 435 of these were fatalities.

Marijuana Addiction

Marijuana is the most popular and easily accessible illegal drug in the nation, and the second greatest drug threat to Tennessee, following cocaine. Marijuana is highly abused amongst teenagers and young adults in Tennessee. Marijuana use, both medical and recreational, is illegal in Tennessee.

Heroin Addiction

Heroin was involved in roughly 18% of all drug overdose deaths in Tennessee in 2019. During this time, 37 counties in Tennessee had also experienced an increase in heroin overdose deaths.

Opioid Addiction

Opioid addiction is a rising issue in Tennessee. In 2018, almost 72% of drug-related deaths in the state were attributed to opioid overdose and providers in Tennessee had written approximately 82 opioid prescriptions per 100 persons. Tennessee has the third-highest prescription rate compared to the national average of approximately 52 prescriptions per 100 persons.

Cocaine/Crack Addiction

Cocaine, particularly crack, is the greatest drug threat to Tennessee. It is readily available in the state and is commonly abused. Tennessee has more cocaine-related treatment admissions and federal sentences than any other drug. Powdered cocaine is generally available in the four metropolitan areas of Tennessee – Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville.

Meth/Methamphetamine Addiction

Meth/methamphetamine is the third greatest drug threat to Tennessee. It is increasingly abused in the state, however, the rate of abuse in Tennessee is significantly lower than the national rate. Methamphetamine is usually produced in central and eastern Tennessee.

Knoxville Alcohol and Drug Detox

No matter what substance you use, be it drugs or alcohol, detox from long-term addiction can be a hard road. Landmark Recovery of Knoxville provides safe, medically sound detox treatment that will manage your withdrawal and start you on the road to recovery.

Learn more about Medical Detox

For many individuals, detox represents the most difficult stage of the recovery journey. This is because as addictive substances are being flushed out of the body, the brain typically goes into withdrawal as it adjusts to normal functioning without the presence of drugs or alcohol. Depending on the substance of abuse and length and severity of addiction, you can experience a range of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you stop drinking or using drugs.
