Las Vegas Guide: AA & Al-Anon, NA & Nar-Anon, and SMART Recovery Meetings

by Veronica Scala

las vegas recovery guide

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only put extra stress on those struggling with substance use disorders (SUD), it also has strained those serving as lifelines for them. With the shift of support meetings to a virtual format, attendance has dipped as computer access can be a challenge. 12-Step groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and support groups for family and friends (Al-Anon and Nar-Anon), as well as SMART Recovery groups have all been impacted like never before. Las Vegas’ support meetings thankfully have continued to meet virtually or have now returned to in-person! Because of all the recent changes, we have put together a guide where you can easily find meetings that fit your specific needs and beliefs.

If you have never attended a meeting, you might be wondering: Why support groups? At Landmark Recovery of Las Vegas, we believe in the power of human connection. The relationships built by support and compassion can enforce a stronger personal recovery and a well-balanced life. The power of understanding found at these group meetings can encourage and guide you toward a healthier mind, body, and spirit.

Every day is a new day, so take it one day at a time. We are cheering for you!

Membership is free, and there are no dues or fees.

Open meetings indicate that anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, while closed meetings are limited to addicts and those who think they may have a problem with alcohol.
