Columbus Detox and Rehab Facility

We accept Medicaid patients and proudly support military veterans. Landmark Recovery does not discriminate on the basis or age, sex or gender.

Currently more than 47 out of 100,000 Ohio residents are at risk of dying from an drug overdose, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Landmark Recovery wants to lower that number by offering affordable, accessible addiction treatment with a proven success rate.

For many patients, the first stage of recovery involves undergoing medical detox to flush out all traces of drugs and/or alcohol from your system. It’s highly recommended that detox occurs under medical supervision, at a professional treatment and rehab center. Detox can be extremely uncomfortable and potentially life-threatening due to withdrawal symptoms that are often experienced when substance use is discontinued, especially for those individuals who have developed a chemical dependency. Our compassionate clinical team will provide around-the-clock health care and administer medications that can help manage the cravings and negative effects of withdrawal.

Depending on your specific needs, your customized treatment program may include counseling, behavioral therapy, medication-assisted treatment, meditation and mindfulness therapies, inpatient rehab, health and wellness education, nutrition therapy, fitness and exercise programs, and recreational activities.

Life Inside Praxis of Columbus by Landmark Recovery

At Praxis of Columbus men and women stay on opposite sides of the center, but share some common areas such as the dining room and meeting spaces. In our residential drug program, our services following detox include individual and group therapy. We also utilize programs such as SMART recovery, seeking safety and refuge to help patients learn the skills they need to avoid a relapse. Our therapies combine different forms of evidence-based treatment like dialectical behavioral therapy. All of these services are used in treatment to help individuals learn the skills and tools they can utilize on their lifelong recovery journey.

Daily Inpatient Rehab Schedule

During inpatient rehab at Praxis of Columbus by Landmark Recovery you’ll follow a schedule that includes intensive therapy, counseling and classes to help you return to normal function without drugs or alcohol. You’ll have some free time and three meals a day.  We offer individual therapy each week, along with group counseling and classes to help patients learn how to overcome their addictions. Our patient engagement specialists are always nearby to answer questions and provide support. A daily schedule helps patients focus on healing, building inner strength and developing the skills they need to stay sober.

What Landmark Recovery Graduates Are Saying

My life has been forever changed by Landmark! I owe my new life to the knowledge I gained there. I completed the IOP program and started participating in the Alumni program. I have to say that the Alumni program is my favorite because it really goes the extra mile and shows you how to have fun while being sober. It's so great to have real friendships that I have made while on this life journey.

-Chris G.

When I walked into Landmark, I knew it was unlike any place I had been in my past attempts. The structure, curriculum, the genuine empathy towards residents, and being guided by people with first hand knowledge and experience of the path we're on made the difference. Facing the world after can be overwhelming for some, but with the information, tools, confidence and support Landmark provided, the reality is less intimidating.

-David P.

The compassion that I received upon entering Landmark Recovery was overwhelming. The education that I received in regards to my disease was more than I could have ever anticipated. I was able to meet like minded people that understood every aspect of what I was going through, including the staff. I would have never met any of these people who I now consider friends had it not been for Landmark.

You're Not Alone

Traffic accidents used to be one of the leading causes of death in the state of Ohio. Today substance abuse kills far more and remains one of the top reasons for death since the opioid epidemic began. Drug and alcohol addiction doesn’t discriminate, and its effects are far-reaching. Columbus, Ohio has been particularly hit hard by the opioid crisis and waves of fentanyl leeching into the illicit drug supply.

  • In Ohio, unintentional drug overdose deaths surged from 4,410 in 2020 to 5,585 in 2021.
  • It’s estimated that Ohio residents spent a total of $8.5 billion on excessive alcohol consumption last year.
  • Heroin use in Ohio increased 35% between 2019 and 2020.

Praxis of Columbus by Landmark Recovery provides affordable and accessible addiction treatment to stop the effects of the opioid epidemic and alcoholism throughout the region. Every addiction is treatable. You can live a better life. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help. Most individuals in Ohio don’t seek the care they need and will never contact a drug rehab or alcohol treatment center. Be the difference and contact Praxis of Columbus by Landmark Recovery today.

Cost of Addiction and Substance Abuse Care

Praxis of Columbus by Landmark Recovery is one of the most affordable addiction treatment centers in Ohio. We strive to make addiction recovery as affordable and attainable as possible to anyone who needs it, which is why we founded our Praxis treatment centers for Medicaid patients.

Some people delay addiction treatment because they believe it’s too expensive. But the costs associated with an untreated addiction far outweigh the cost of a recovery center, no matter if it’s commercial or Medicaid. The long-term cost of drugs and alcohol used by someone with an addiction typically surpasses the price of treatment for substance abuse. There are also emotional and physical costs, including health problems, broken relationships and poor self-image that often accompany an addiction. While detox and rehab are an investment, they pay off. Recovery always leads to a better life.

Deferred Payment

Both Praxis and Landmark Recovery offer payment plans which can help make paying for substance abuse treatment more manageable. Details of repayment options are specific to each individual circumstance, based on a variety of factors. For the most accurate information on your personal repayment options, we recommend that you speak with our admissions team by calling us at (641) 591-8822.

Insurance Providers at Landmark Recovery

Praxis of Columbus by Landmark Recovery accepts Medicaid and most major health insurance providers on both a national and local level.

Meth/Methamphetamine Addiction

Meth is a psychostimulant that causes severe health effects. With less than 1% of the state’s population having used it in the past year, meth represents a small percent of illicit drug use in the state. Ohio Alcohol and Drug Detox

No matter what substance you use, be it drugs or alcohol, detox from long-term addiction can be a hard road. Praxis of Cleveland provides safe, medically sound detox treatment that will manage your withdrawal and start you on the road to recovery.

Learn more about Medical Detox

For many individuals, detox represents the most difficult stage of the recovery journey. This is because as addictive substances are being flushed out of the body, the brain typically goes into withdrawal as it adjusts to normal functioning without the presence of drugs or alcohol. Depending on the substance of abuse and length and severity of addiction, you can experience a range of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you stop drinking or using drugs.
