Between 2020 and 2021, we saw drug overdoses take more lives than ever before. What could have stopped this? What could we have done to steer people away from the things that took their lives?

It’s a simple statement of fact that we’re all in this together. It’s our collective responsibility to become knowledgeable about the things that plague our communities, including unprecedented numbers of drug overdoses. In 2022 and beyond, we’re on a mission to spread knowledge about topics related to substance use disorders so we can protect our communities from things that tear them apart. This is where a media series like Sober Facts comes in.

Sober Facts is a new video series that presents prescient information on substance abuse and the science behind addiction. On Sober Facts, we provide an avenue by which concepts and topics involving licit and illicit substance use are presented from a fair, even-handed point of view. This series will be a resource for answering all of those questions about drugs and recovery that our audience might have and is informed by over a century of scientific understanding, evidence-based medicine, and the study of addiction.

We’re extremely excited to get this series out there to the public and begin our journey toward spreading knowledge on an area that many still deem shadowy. By sharing the knowledge we’ve gathered, we hope to be a resource that serves communities everywhere. Let’s save lives and unlock each other’s potential.
