Addiction Recovery Programs for Veterans

Landmark Recovery proudly offers drug and alcohol addiction treatment to our nation’s service members and veterans. We develop an individualized treatment plan for each service member who enters one of our treatment centers. These may include: primary care, specialty providers, behavioral health and sober living. We recognize that the needs of veterans and active-duty military service members can be unique, and are best addressed with specialized care. We provide a curriculum that addresses co-occurring disorders, such as substance abuse and behavioral health or trauma needs. Our programs help service members deal with PTSD, reintegration stresses, sleep disturbances and other mental disorders. Statistics show that one in 10 veterans have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder. We can help you find a roadmap to recovery.

Roadmap to Resilience Military Service Member Group

Our Roadmap to Resilience group follows curriculum developed by Donald Meichenbaum, a clinical psychologist who has worked for 40 years with service members and their families. Meichenbaum consulted with Veteran Administration hospitals to create treatment programs designed to help service members with post traumatic stress disorders, substance abuse, depression and other adjustment difficulties.

Roadmap to Resilience includes group sessions offered exclusively to military service members (including veterans) at Landmark Recovery treatment centers. This program teaches service members skills to improve their resilience and utilizes Meichenbaum’s six “fitness” areas: physical, interpersonal, emotional, cognitive, behavioral and spiritual.

Landmark therapists and group leaders have undergone military cultural competency training in an effort to better understand what service members may be experiencing and how to best communicate with them. Our teams are educated on military values, chain of command and terminology.

Who We Treat

nice looking military family

While we have a partnership with the VA, we also offer specialized treatment to active-duty military service members, police officers and other first responders. We provide program flexibility with inpatient and outpatient treatment services.

Our therapy teams address trauma-related symptoms, including post traumatic stress disorder symptoms and other mental disorders. We teach life skills to help you not only understand substance use triggers, but how to deal with those and avoid a relapse. Landmark Recovery programs are designed to accommodate the special needs of those serving and protecting our country and communities.
