Morrilton Detox and Rehab Facility

Often the first stage of the addiction recovery process, medical detox involves flushing out all traces of drugs and/or alcohol from your system. Alcohol detox and drug detox are both equally important in the beginning of alcohol and drug addiction treatment. It’s highly recommended that detox occurs under 24/7 medical supervision, at a professional treatment and residential treatment center.

Detox can be extremely uncomfortable and potentially life-threatening due to cravings to use and physical withdrawal symptoms that are often experienced when a person limits their substance use or attempts to quit altogether. The detox program at Praxis of Morrilton by Landmark Recovery will guide you through detox as comfortably and as safely as possible. Our compassionate clinical team at our residential treatment center will provide around-the-clock health care and administer medications that can help manage the cravings and negative effects of withdrawal.

All rehab clients are provided with personalized treatment plans that include a variety of science-backed treatment modalities for treating the body, mind, and spirit. Depending on your specific needs, your customized treatment program may include counseling, behavioral therapy, medication-assisted treatment, meditation and mindfulness therapies, inpatient rehab, health and wellness education, nutrition therapy, fitness and exercise programs and recreational activities.

We accept in- and out-of-state patients and proudly support military veterans. Landmark Recovery does not discriminate on the basis or age, sex or gender.

What Landmark Recovery Graduates Are Saying

My life has been forever changed by Landmark! I owe my new life to the knowledge I gained there. I completed the IOP program and started participating in the Alumni program. I have to say that the Alumni program is my favorite because it really goes the extra mile and shows you how to have fun while being sober. It's so great to have real friendships that I have made while on this life journey.

-Chris G.

When I walked into Landmark, I knew it was unlike any place I had been in my past attempts. The structure, curriculum, the genuine empathy towards residents, and being guided by people with first hand knowledge and experience of the path we're on made the difference. Facing the world after can be overwhelming for some, but with the information, tools, confidence and support Landmark provided, the reality is less intimidating.

-David P.

The compassion that I received upon entering Landmark Recovery was overwhelming. The education that I received in regards to my disease was more than I could have ever anticipated. I was able to meet like minded people that understood every aspect of what I was going through, including the staff. I would have never met any of these people who I now consider friends had it not been for Landmark.

  • In 2020, over 500 Arkansans died from drug overdoses, an increase of 195 from the previous year
  • In 2018 there were 700 deaths attributed to accidental overdose

Cost of Addiction and Substance Abuse Care

Praxis of Morrilton by Landmark Recovery is one of the most affordable drug and alcohol rehab centers in Arkansas. We strive to make addiction recovery affordable and attainable to anyone who needs it. The cost of medical detox and rehab varies from person to person. Treatment plans, medications, levels of care and insurance coverage all play a factor in determining how much addiction recovery could cost.

Some people delay addiction treatment because they believe it’s too expensive. But the costs associated with an untreated addiction far outweigh the cost of a rehab center. The cost of drugs and alcohol used by someone struggling with addiction typically surpasses the price of treatment for substance abuse.

There are also emotional and physical costs that accompany addiction, including:

While detox and rehab are investments, they both pay off. Sobriety leads to a better life.

Deferred Payment

We offer payment plans which can help make paying for substance abuse treatment more manageable. Details of repayment options are specific to each individual circumstance, based on a variety of factors. For the most accurate information on your personal repayment options, we recommend that you speak with a member of our admissions team. Addiction Recovery and Treatment in Arkansas

Addiction is a complex, but treatable disease. Praxis of Morrilton by Landmark Recovery can help you overcome drug and alcohol addiction using medical detox and other evidence-based treatment plans.

What the numbers say

According to data from the 2019-2020 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 26.21% of Arkansas residents ages 18-25 needed but didn’t receive treatment for substance use from a rehab facility in the past year. When it comes to substance use disorder, 28.91% of Arkansans ages 18-25 reported having a past-year SUD in 2020. Additionally, overdose deaths in Arkansas grew from 388 in 2019 to 546 in 2020, an increase of more than 40%.

We desperately need to reverse those trends. If you or a loved one struggles to control drinking or drug use, don’t hesitate. Call 501-406-2016 to speak to an addiction recovery specialist, and find your path to a happier healthier life.

Alcohol Addiction

Arkansas has the most intense level of binge drinking in the country. A study from the CDC found that adult binge drinkers in Arkansas drink 841 drinks per year. Binge drinking, a form of excessive alcohol use, is defined as four (women) and five or more drinks per occasion. Arkansas binge drinkers consume 8.3 drinks per setting. Every year, about 95,000 people die from alcohol-related causes, which makes alcohol the third-leading preventable cause of death in the United States, according to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). Drunk driving is also a fatal issue in the Natural State. Arkansas' rate of alcohol-impaired driving deaths tops the national average. In 2019, Arkansas experienced 4.2 alcohol-impaired driving deaths per 100,000, compared to a national average of 3.1 deaths per 100,000.

Marijuana Addiction

Marijuana is one of Arkansas' most widely used drugs, especially among young people. In 2013, one in four Arkansans between 18 and 25 years old smoked marijuana. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 10.48% of Arkansas residents ages 12 years or older reported past-month marijuana use from 2019-2020. The use of marijuana, commonly known as "weed," has mind-altering effects that produce side effects like intense hunger and drowsiness. However, synthetic marijuana like cannabinoids put users at risk of exposure to dangerous chemicals and fentanyl, a synthetic opioid up to 50 times more powerful than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine.

Heroin Addiction

Heroin use is relatively low among Arkansas residents. According to the 2019-2020 NSDUH, less than 1% of Arkansans ages 18-25 years old (0.29%) and 26 years or older (0.28%) reported using heroin in the past year.

Opioid Addiction

While opioids serve a vital role in pain management, high opioid prescribing puts patients at risk for addiction and overdose. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that when compared with national rates (93.5% versus 51.4% per 100 people), Arkansas’ prescription rates are remarkably higher than the national average. According to state data, opioid overdose deaths in Arkansas grew from 188 to 284 from 2017-2020. In general, opioid overdose deaths in 2020 accounted for 52% of Arkansas's total drug overdose deaths. According to 2019 estimates, less than 35 of adults with substance use disorder had received treatment for opioid use in the past year.

Alcohol and Drug Detox

Whether your drug of choice is pills or alcohol, detoxing from long-term substance use can be a hard road. Praxis of Morrilton by Landmark Recovery provides safe, medically sound detox treatment programs that will help manage your withdrawal symptoms and start you on the road to recovery. Our alcohol detox and drug detox services can help you reach your goals.

Learn more about Medical Detox

For many individuals with drug or alcohol dependence, detox represents the most difficult stage of the addiction recovery journey. This is because as addictive substances are being flushed out of the body, the brain typically goes into withdrawal as it adjusts to normal functioning without the presence of drugs or alcohol. Depending on the substance of abuse and the length and severity of addiction, you can experience a range of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you stop drinking or using drugs.
