Our Approach to Substance Abuse Treatment

Our medical and clinical staff at Praxis of Columbus provide a 30-day inpatient treatment program catered to your unique needs, goals, and diagnoses. The five stages of our residential program are as follows:

Step 1

Your 30-day residential program begins with an initial assessment by a Praxis physician or nurse practitioner to determine whether detoxification or medication-assisted treatment is necessary.

Step 2

Once you have undergone detox, you are ready to begin clinical treatment. Our master’s-level counselors will begin working with you individually and in group therapy.

Step 3

You will be introduced to SMART Recovery, 12 Step Program, Mindfulness and Recreations therapy according to your beliefs and desired rehab approach.

Step 4

Your closest loved ones or family members will be able to join you on your recovery journey through extensive family therapy and education.

Step 5

Following residential treatment, you will have access to support from Praxis by Landmark Recovery staff and receive an action plan designed to keep you motivated in your recovery.

Yes, there are designated areas in our rehab facilities where you can smoke. However, please be advised that all cigarettes brought the facility must be in unopened packs or cartons. Any cigarettes sent or brought by family/friends must also be unopened. Staff can discuss the rules with you in more detail at admission.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we provide repayment options in most cases. Details of repayment options are specific to each individual circumstance, based on a variety of factors. Can I speak with or visit my loved one while they are in treatment?

Yes, you will be able to speak to your loved one while they are in treatment. Once they have completed the detox level of their care, they will be able to start making calls to family members. They will also have Family Day every Saturday as part of their programming, which includes therapeutic activities for families to participate in together, lunch, and visitation time.
