AURORA, Colo., July 11, 2022 — Landmark Recovery, a family-owned drug and alcohol addiction treatment provider, will bring much needed clinical care for substance use disorder to the Denver area.
The company will celebrate the grand opening of Landmark Recovery of Denver with a ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 11:30 a.m. on July 18, 2022. Located at 2000 South Blackhawk Street in Aurora, the new 80-bed treatment facility is just 25 minutes from downtown Denver. It will add 85 full- and part-time jobs to the area, while providing the community with evidence-based, individualized addiction treatment programs and new support network.
“The influx of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Colorado has dramatically increased the demand for addiction treatment services,” said Matt Boyle, chief executive officer of Landmark Recovery. “The opening of Landmark Recovery of Denver provides a proven pathway for people experiencing a substance use disorder to live a healthier, happier life. Through our treatment programs we hope to combat the increase in deaths due to drug overdose.”
The Center for Disease Control reported more than 107,000 drug overdose deaths nationwide in 2021. Overdoses in Denver increased 22% between 2020 and 2021. More than 95,000 adults in Colorado reported that they did not get needed substance use treatment or counseling services, according to the Colorado Health Access Survey.
