General Questions about Landmark’s Addiction Treatment

Why choose Landmark Recovery for drug and alcohol rehab?

Landmark Recovery has a track record of successfully assisting in the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse. We’ve helped more than 10,000 people overcome addictions. Landmark’s treatment centers hold certification by the Joint Commission for behavioral healthcare and are LegitScript certified for following ethical standards and guidelines when it comes to administrative and marketing processes. The Landmark Recovery difference is defined by an uncompromising pursuit of excellence that results in higher sobriety and satisfaction rates as well as more efficient operations. Landmark is redefining addiction treatment by focusing on what people need to make a successful recovery.

What’s the first step in getting treatment for an addiction?

At Landmark Recovery, the first step is a confidential consultation. We’ll assesses the nature and extent of your substance abuse. Individualized assessment allows us to customize a program ensuring the best drug or alcohol rehab treatment approach for you. This goes in line with our 35-day residential program and after care plan.

How can you make a successful recovery from addiction?

For a successful recovery, it’s vital to acquire new knowledge, abilities and life skills. Education concerning all facets of substance abuse coupled with individual and group therapy is the foundation for all our programs. During classes and therapy, scheduled activities and leisure time are offered as a form of daily recreation.

Visit our What to Expect page for more information.

How long does rehab take?

There’s no set period that works for everyone when it comes to alcohol and drug rehab treatment. In most cases a 35-day residential program can help patients restore functional capacity while helping them develop continuing practices and skills to help them stay sober. At Landmark, graduates will receive continuing transitional support for recovery as part of our aftercare plan.

The success of our program lies in its ability to help patients stabilize, achieve and maintain abstinence from substances for substantial recovery. Patients work on the development of self-awareness, self-clarity, and self-honesty. Our aftercare plan also supports the development of self-responsibility and self-accountability for one’s choices.

Will I be able to see my family or friends?

Landmark allows you interact with your loved ones during treatment. In fact, we recommend that your immediate family take an active role in your recovery and come to our family counseling sessions. Between sessions, you can talk to friends and family on the phone. We allow family visits and phone calls during specific times.
We strongly believe that family involvement is essential during treatment. Even for families that have strained ties, family involvement is vitally important for the recovery process. The family unit has a strong influence on the development of alcohol and drug addiction. At Landmark Recovery, we offer a family program as part of our rehab program.

Who does Landmark Recovery care for?

Landmark Recovery caters to individuals of all types of ages and backgrounds regardless of financial status. Talk with our admissions team to learn which facilities currently accept state insurance such as Medicare and Medicaid.

What happens if you don’t go to a rehab center?

  • Damage to the nervous system
  • Reduction in liver functioning
  • Obesity
  • Blackouts
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • HIV, Hepatitis, and Other Infectious Diseases
  • Cancer
  • Cardiovascular damage
  • Respiratory depression
  • Kidney damage
  • Neurological damage
  • Hormonal changes
  • Death

What happens after drug and alcohol rehab?

Landmark Recovery is dedicated to each patient’s long-lasting recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. On your graduation from your rehab program, we offer an Aftercare plan. It’s a weekly series of counseling sessions that happen for about 12 to 24 weeks. Our aftercare plan is designed to provide a smooth transition from intense levels of substance rehab treatment into the early stages of alcohol and drug addiction recovery. Patients are encouraged to take part in self-help programs. These include spiritual and recreational programs. Your Landmark Recovery counselor will help during this process. Alternatively, you are eligible for our Alumni program after graduation. It is a supportive network where you can engage in activities like socializing and volunteering.

It all starts with a call to our treatment specialists who will explain treatment and payment options. Upon admission a thorough history and physical examination will be performed by our medical staff to ensure a safe and secure transition into our program.

This typically includes previous treatment experiences or other conditions which would help our clinicians develop your personalized treatment plan which may consist of a number of things including detoxification or specific therapy programs.

What criteria do you consider for admission?

In general we assess patients for a documented history of current use of alcohol or drugs, significant functional impairments including the ability to live without recurrent abuse of substances, a check of a patient’s medical and psychiatric conditions and an assessment of their ability to support and foster recovery once they’ve completed the program.
