What to Expect

Rehab is no walk in the park, but for patients willing to put in the work and trust in the clinical professionals of the Landmark team, sustained recovery is entirely achievable. One of the hardest steps for many individuals struggling with a substance use disorder is admitting there is a problem and asking for help. Enrolling in treatment at Landmark is a brave and commendable first step in the direction of recovery and you can rest assured knowing the support and love of our medically certified and trained staff will help make you or your loved one’s stay with us as pleasant as possible.

The Residential Treatment program is designed to be 35 days in length, but each individual patient’s participation in the program may be longer or shorter depending on medical necessity and each patient’s unique conditions. The program consists of Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, fitness activities, enrichment activities, lectures, and other activities designed to restore the patient’s ability to function in his or her home environment. Each patient shall receive at least 2 hours of individual and 21 hours of group therapy per week,.

Because no addiction is the same, we offer a broad approach to recovery that leaves room to custom tailor a recovery plan for every individual patient. During a patient’s stay, they can expect exposure to the following methods of treatment.

  • 12 STEP (AA & NA)
  • Art Therapy
  • Family Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Fitness and Recreation
  • Guided Meditation
  • SMART Recovery
  • Medication Assisted Treatment

While some of the most intensive work in recovery will be accomplished while in treatment, individuals who have enrolled with us should begin thinking about their long term sobriety goals. A large part of recovery is creating a structured plan for sustained sobriety, identifying long term goals that become more possible thanks to sobriety, learning about the disease of addiction, and having a positive attitude that recovery is not only possible but entirely preferable to using again.
