For many people who are battling an addiction to drugs or alcohol, the first stage of the recovery process involves undergoing medical detox to flush out chemical substances from your system. Detox should occur under medical supervision, at a professional treatment and rehab center. Detoxing can be extremely uncomfortable and potentially life-threatening due to withdrawal symptoms that are often experienced when substance use is discontinued, especially for those individuals who have developed a chemical dependency.
We accept in- and out-of-state patients and proudly support military veterans. Landmark Recovery does not discriminate on the basis or age, sex or gender.
The alcohol and drug addiction treatment program at Landmark Recovery of Knoxville will guide you through detox as comfortably and as safely as possible. Our compassionate clinical team will provide around-the-clock health care and administer medications that can help manage the cravings and negative effects of withdrawal.
All rehab clients are provided with personalized treatment plans that include a variety of science-backed treatment modalities for treating the body, mind, and spirit. Depending on your specific needs, your customized treatment program may include counseling, behavioral therapy, medication-assisted treatment, meditation and mindfulness therapies, inpatient rehab, health and wellness education, nutrition therapy, fitness and exercise programs, and recreational activities.
Some might be wondering what the process of inpatient rehab admission and the rehab itself is like. Here’s how patients are usually admitted, evaluated, and treated.
Patients or their families will speak to an admissions specialist to ask questions or learn more about the admissions process. Once both parties come to a mutual understanding on all questions, patients will enter the treatment center. This is when patients begin the intake process. Basic information about the patient is gathered and the patient is oriented on the rehab process and rules.
Medical staff at the residential treatment center will evaluate patients during the intake process to determine their condition and make medical recommendations based off their findings. Doctors build a personal profile for the patient so they can track their treatment and progress throughout their time with us. Detox begins next, where we manage the withdrawals to prevent serious harm to patients as they begin the recovery journey.
Inpatient rehab patients are required to check themselves in, while outpatient rehab patients don’t have to. We require that, pending a doctor’s recommendation, all patients suffering from heavy addictions go through inpatient rehab. This is a firm recommendation we make to properly monitor the medical condition of those detoxing and participating in therapy and counseling. Inpatient rehab is required for those who can’t pass a drug test while participating in outpatient rehab.
After alcohol or drug detox is finished (usually 5-7 days), patients will then spend 30-45 days taking part in the residential program. While staying at the rehab center, multiple types of therapy will be provided along with recreational time to focus on the self. Once patients finish their residential treatment with us, we provide them with access to continued support through alumni programs and weekly therapy sessions at no cost.
During inpatient rehab at Landmark Recovery of Knoxville, you’ll follow a schedule that includes intensive therapy, counseling, and classes to help you achieve sobriety. You’ll have some free time and three meals a day.

Addiction in Tennessee is a growing problem. In fact, 458,950 Tennesseans, aged 18 years or older, fit the criteria to be diagnosed with substance use disorder. This statistic is especially true in a popular college town like Rocky Top.
Landmark Recovery of Knoxville is looking to change those statistics by providing local, patient-centric care to those who need addiction treatment. If you or someone you know needs addiction treatment, call 865-448-5174 to talk to a recovery specialist today
Landmark Recovery of Knoxville is one of the most affordable drug and alcohol rehab centers in Tennessee. We strive to make addiction recovery affordable and attainable to anyone who needs it. The cost of medical detox and rehab varies from person to person. Treatment plans, medications, levels of care and insurance coverage all play a factor in determining how much addiction recovery could cost.
Some people delay addiction treatment because they believe it’s too expensive. But the costs associated with an untreated addiction far outweigh the cost of a recovery center. The cost of drugs and alcohol used by someone with an addiction typically surpasses the price of treatment for substance abuse. There are also emotional and physical costs, including health problems, broken relationships and poor self-image that often accompany an addiction. While detox and rehab are an investment, it’s one that pays off. Sobriety leads to a better life.
Landmark Recovery offers payment plans which can help make paying for substance abuse treatment more manageable. Details of repayment options are specific to each individual circumstance, based on a variety of factors. For the most accurate information on your personal repayment options, we recommend that you speak with our admissions team by calling us at (865) 448-5174.
Landmark Recovery of Knoxville accepts most major health insurance providers on both a national and local level.
Landmark Recovery works with all insurance providers, even if we do not have a contract with them. We will work with you to find a way to pay for detox and rehab. Landmark offers affordable inpatient and outpatient rehab treatment plans and many payment options to ensure you get the care you need to live the life you want. We believe that everyone deserves access to drug or alcohol rehab treatment services.
