Inpatient Rehab in Las Vegas for Substance Use Disorders

Many people experiencing a drug or alcohol addiction need to remove themselves from stressful triggers and temptations that could cause a relapse. One of the best environments to start a recovery from substance abuse is an inpatient rehab center. Landmark Recovery of Las Vegas provides a safe, caring space isolated from the outside world, so patients can focus on their recovery.

Inpatient rehab, also referred to as residential treatment, allows an individual to avoid the distractions of everyday life while their brain and body adapt to sobriety. The inpatient rehab treatment offered by Landmark Recovery of Las Vegas, includes individual and group therapy options as well as family therapy and various recreational activities and support meetings to teach residents how to begin a path towards living beyond addiction.

What is Inpatient Rehab?

Inpatient rehabilitation, or rehab, is a common treatment program for drug and alcohol use disorders. Rehab provides the opportunity for structure and learning to be integrated into an individual’s daily routine. It allows people to remove themselves from temptations and stressful situations that may hinder their recovery. Most people spend about a month (30-35 days) as a resident in an addiction treatment program. Sometimes, medical detox is required before someone can be admitted into an inpatient rehab facility. Landmark Recovery of Las Vegas offers the only residential detox unit in the city.

Patients are given a structured schedule so they can maintain a daily routine and keep themselves on track during inpatient rehab at Landmark Recovery of Las Vegas. During the day, patients participate in individual counseling, group and family therapy, recreational activities, and scheduled support meetings. Meals are provided and patients share a room with another person. Our Las Vegas facility includes full-size beds and a private bathroom for each apartment. We immerse our residents in a supportive environment with other people who are committed to stopping the cycle of addiction and starting their recovery journey.

The Goal of Inpatient Rehab

A safe, structured environment without the triggers and temptations to use drugs or alcohol provides patients with the tools to adapt to a life of sobriety before reentering the outside world. We help people heal, and address any negative influences that could lead someone off the path to recovery. While the process of inpatient rehab may vary from place to place, the goal is always the same – to help patients regain control of their lives and experience a successful recovery from an addiction to drugs of alcohol.

Stages of Inpatient Rehab

Getting admitted into our inpatient rehab program requires a few simple steps, or stages. The steps to register with Landmark Recovery are similar amongst most addiction treatment centers.

Step 1: Admission

Admission is the first stage in getting into an inpatient rehab facility. At Landmark Recovery, the patient – or their loved one – will contact our admissions team and speak to a representative who will ensure they are admitted to their treatment center properly and that all questions are answered.

Step 2: Intake

When a patient enters the treatment center, they begin the intake process. Basic information about the patient is gathered at this time. Our staff provides reassurance that drug rehab can help them regain control of their life. Any forbidden items are confiscated for the safety and wellbeing of the patient, the facility’s staff and other residents.

Step 3: Assessment

Each patient is assessed individually by a physician to determine which treatment methods will best benefit them in their recovery. Biographical information is also obtained to help create a profile for therapists.

Step 4: Detox

Before enrolling in inpatient treatment, patients may be asked to undergo medical detox, during which they withdraw from their substance under close medical supervision. Medical detox is intended to reduce the risk of physical harm to an individual from the effects of quitting drugs or alcohol after using for a long period of time.

Step 5: Inpatient Care

Patients normally stay in Landmark Recovery’s residential treatment program for 30-45 days. During residential treatment, our patients follow a daily routine and are given multiple methods of group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy as well as recreational time. When a patient completes treatment, they are provided with continuing support and resources to prevent relapse.

Landmark Recovery of Las Vegas is ideally located in southern Nevada, making it convenient to residents in southern California, northern Arizona and southwest Utah. Located off the Gragson Freeway, in the northwest corner of the city, our facility is close to the Summerlin neighborhood. Inpatient Rehab vs Outpatient Rehab

So, what is the difference in processes between inpatient rehab and outpatient rehab?

Inpatient rehab is residential treatment, requiring a patient to check themselves into an addiction treatment center for an extended period of time. Intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, however, is based outside of a treatment center, allowing an individual to stay in housing of their choice. Intensive outpatient rehab can involve medication-assisted treatment and various forms of counseling. It is often used to treat milder cases of addiction.
